GCSA Member Wins First Place in Fire Prevention Essay Competition

Mario Sucar, a Georgia Career Student Association (GCSA) member at Sequoyah High School in Canton, Georgia won first place for his essay entitled “It is Fire Prevention Week: Prevent Home Fires”. Mario’s essay was submitted through his Project Success class and entered in a state-wide competition sponsored by John Oxendine, Georgia’s Insurance and Fire Safety Commissioner.

GCSA Presents Hard Core Leadership

The Georgia Career Student Association recently held its annual Fall Officer Training Conference (OTC) at the Atlanta Airport Marriott. The members were greeted during the Opening General Session by the GCSA State Officers and their presentation of Hard Core Leadership. Superintendent’s Student Advisory Council!

Congratulations to Wes Seabolt, GCSA State President. Out of approximately 700 applicants Wes was chosen as one of the 55 students from across the state to serve on the Superintendents Student Advisory Council.
