Stephens County High School

Stephens County High School GCSA was represented at the GCSA OTC Oct. 17-18 at the Atlanta Airport Marriott. Ms. Angela Lingerfelt, Coordinator, Myia Ward, Secretary, and Jocelyn Ramsey, Treasurer attended.  This is the first year that the CCAE program has been implemented at SCHS since 2002. The officers enjoyed all of the training sessions and thought the hotel was great.

On October 24, Heather Hayes from the Georgia Department of Labor was a guest speaker to the CCAE classes at SCHS.  She talked about employability skills and how important developing those skills are for high school students. The students were surprised at just how much employers look at your appearance when they are interviewing potential employees.  The presentation gave the students a lot to think about before they go into the workforce.
